Brinar 450 Wear-Resistant Steel is made from high-quality carbon steel, carefully mixed with manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and other alloying elements to boost its hardness and toughness. The steel goes through a water-quenching and tempering process, achieving a surface hardness of 410–490 Brinell. It showcases remarkable wear resistance, impact toughness, and weldability. You can cold work the material by bending or roll bending, and hot work it within a temperature range of 850–1000°C, followed by hardening and tempering. Thermal cutting and welding are feasible with the right preheating for plates thicker than 10mm.
